{"id":9730,"date":"2017-11-13T13:10:45","date_gmt":"2017-11-13T12:10:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aram.bourgault.info?post_type=iconographie&#038;p=9730"},"modified":"2017-11-13T13:10:45","modified_gmt":"2017-11-13T12:10:45","slug":"exhibition-1927-2000-armenian-posters-in-marseille","status":"publish","type":"iconographie","link":"https:\/\/webaram.com\/en\/iconography\/exhibition-1927-2000-armenian-posters-in-marseille","title":{"rendered":"Exhibition &#8220;1927-2000: armenian posters in Marseille&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This exhibition presents about sixty posters from the association&#8217;s collection.<br \/>\nAfter the genocide of 1915,  the surviving Armenians of Anatolia were forced to flee their ancestral homeland and to relocate in the Middle East, Europe or the Americas.<br \/>\nMarseille, as a port on the Mediterranean sea, had alaways been a hub for the refugees who wanted to settle down in France or emigrate overseas.<br \/>\nMany of them, chose to stay in the Marseille region and, step by step, tried to recreate their traditional community through three fundamental pillars: the Church, political parties and compatriotic associations that organized several cultural, sports or charity events.
